Peggy
Peggy loves Molly the magpie and wants to be the perfect mum – kind, caring, creative, and above all, fun! She’s always been a big-hearted happy Staffy, but when baby Molly came into her world, something just clicked – suddenly her life was complete! Then soon after, when her own puppy Ruby arrived – her life was even more complete!
Peggy sees herself as a ‘cool mum’ and wants to make the most of every second of her kids’ puppyhood! She’s constantly playing games, making jokes and teaching Molly and Ruby the life skills all young pups need: barking, tail-wagging, fetching balls and sniffing butts – you know, the essentials!
Like many young mums, Peggy loves playing with her puppies and often feels more like a big sister than a parent. And she’s not one of these figure-everything-out-in-advance hounds. She’s instinctive, living in the moment – which is great, but does mean she often comes unstuck at the worst possible moments. Luckily though, when things go sideways, Molly and Ruby are always there to lend a wing and a paw and help Peggy save the day (or at least think up a better plan).
Of course, when push comes to shove, Peggy really is the adult in the room, so sometimes she just has to bite the biscuit and ‘parent-up’ to get things back in hand. It’s not as much fun… but there’s nothing more important than keeping her family safe, so she knuckles down and does the grown-up stuff… And anyway, Peggy knows there’ll always be plenty more fun times in the future – after Ruby is down off the roof, or Molly is unlocked from the toolshed, or all three of them are out of the quicksand and back on solid ground!
Yep, raising two young pups can sometimes be a dog’s life – but Peggy wouldn’t have it any other way!
